What is VALLEY OF THE GIANTS?

Giants - beings of larger presence and size.

At Valley of the Giants, we refer to Historically Black Organizations and Institutions (HBOIs) as GIANTS because of their immeasurable contributions to society.

Why We Need VALLEY OF THE GIANTS

VALLEY OF THE GIANTS (VOTG) is a conversation for K-12 students, as well as organizations and companies, that support Diversity, Equity & Inclusion as an important part of American culture and values.

· VOTG provides Kindergarten through 12 Grade In-class and virtual workshops to increase student awareness about diverse college and universities and diverse community organizations.

· VOTG workshops profile successful community members from diverse origins who are accessible and visible members of the communities where students live.

· VOTG increases the overall awareness about the existence of Historically Black Social, Civic and Professional organizations.

· VOTG increases the overall awareness of Historically Black Colleges and Universities also known as HBCUs.

· VOTG provides knowledge about different careers and professions through professional and career organizations.

· VOTG exposes youth to the values and principles that drive Community Leaders through the VOTG Virtual Visits.
